North Austin Gets Another Hot Pot Restaurant Rival.

It appears that 2024 will be Austin's year of hot pot. This year also sees the debut of a new chain store in the city.

The eatery is actually a sister company of Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, an international chain, according to Eater Boston.

There was a Little Sheep store in Austin's West Campus area from 2016 until 2019.

According to the manager, it wasn't profitable enough to keep running, therefore it shut down.

After two in Houston (one of which used the former Little Sheep site) and

two in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the national chain would have five locations in Texas with this one in Austin.

Happy Lamb was settled in 201 after a case was brought in Boston by present and former employees alleging labor breaches.
