The Most Crucial Steps in Grooming a Westie

What you use for personal hygiene is important. Slicker brushes are ideal for the majority of your dog's body.

Brush your dog at least twice a week; certain dogs may require more frequent brushing than that.

Use a metal comb to get into those awkward spots. Using a comb alone isn't practical, but it's a terrific method to be thorough.

Begin brushing your dog from head to tail, following the natural direction of their fur.

Starting the moment you bring your new puppy home is the best time to begin brushing them.

Puppies de-sensitize to brushing when they are young, even though they don't have much fur and don't require as much.

Grooming them early on will make it much easier to do so later on.
